This course is designed for those who have knowledge of commercial insurance. It is based on a case study – a manufacturing company – where the learner is asked to apply their knowledge in relation to the insurance requirements. Suggested model answers are provided to assist the learner with their understanding throughout the course.
OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course the learner will be able to:

  • Highlight the areas that a broker and an underwriter would need to consider when arranging the fire and perils insurance for a manufacturing industry
  • Identify the areas where any underwriter would look positively and negatively on the business interruption risk
  • Identify the risks in respect of employers’ liability, third party liability and product liability in relation to the manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrate knowledge of covers available for manufacturing industries.
