DESCRIPTION
A single violation of anti-bribery and corruption law can result in severe financial consequences; for an organisation it could mean irreparable reputational damage, for individuals it could even mean a prison sentence.
This course is designed to give the learner practical insight and understanding of the most common types of bribery and corruption that can occur in the workplace and pays particular attention to the UK’s primary Anti-bribery & corruption legislation – the UK Bribery Act 2010.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course the learner will be able to:
- Discuss what bribery and corruption are
Explain the broad detail of legislation around bribery & corruption including the key principles of the UK Bribery Act 2010 - Recognise corrupt and unethical business practices and understand the penalties
- Demonstrate an understanding of what measures Firms could put in place to prevent and mitigate bribery and corruption
